We are especially proud to honor Denyce Graves, recipient of the inaugural Artist for Action Award, whose artistry and advocacy exemplify the spirit of the evening.

Abigail Spencer Walsh is a Greenwich, Connecticut native and a rising junior at Columbia University, where she is concentrating in Neuroscience with the goal of pursuing a career in medicine. Inspired by a lifelong passion for science, service, and human connection, she hopes to become a physician dedicated to advancing patient care and improving the health and well-being of communities for generations to come.

From an early age, Abigail has been deeply involved in philanthropy and community service. Alongside her mother, Lauren E. Walsh, she proudly serves as a Trustee of her family’s foundation, supporting initiatives that create meaningful and lasting impact. Her commitment to giving back has included volunteer leadership and service with organizations such as GEMS, the American Red Cross, the YWCA, the Salvation Army, and numerous community organizations throughout the Northeast. She also completed the Triangle Fund Internship in Corning, New York, where she conducted nonprofit site visits and evaluated grant proposals, gaining invaluable insight into strategic philanthropy and community investment.

Serving as Co-Chair of the Think Pink Gala alongside her mother is especially meaningful to Abigail. The mission is deeply personal, as several members of her family have courageously faced breast cancer and are now thriving following successful treatment. Their resilience has reinforced her belief in the transformative power of early detection, innovative research, exceptional medical care, and unwavering community support. Helping advance this mission is both an honor and a privilege.

Abigail believes that giving back is a lifelong responsibility and that meaningful change begins with compassion, service, and a commitment to others. Whether through philanthropy today or medicine in the future, she is dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and families. She is honored to support the United Breast Cancer Foundation and its mission to provide hope, education, resources, and support to those affected by breast cancer.
